Media Accreditation Policy
Balatonfüred Conference Festival
This Policy applies to all events organized by the Informatics for Society Association (hereinafter: “Event”), including but not limited to:
- Space&Defense Conference
- Infotér Conference
- INFOTÉR CONTECH 2025 Conference
Accreditation Eligibility
Category 1
Media accreditation may be granted to persons who:
- work professionally or on a regular basis for a press or media organization, editorial office, news agency, printed or online publication, radio or television channel,
- engage in news gathering, reporting, conducting interviews, producing coverage, writing reports, or editorial activities,
- can provide proof of their activity through a valid press card, an editorial authorization letter, or previous publications.
This definition also includes photojournalists and video reporters, provided that their activity is directly related to press coverage.
Category 2
Media accreditation may also be requested by individuals not falling under Category 1, including:
- freelancers
- contributors
- analysts
- filmmakers
- crews
- influencers
- bloggers
- YouTubers
- podcasters
For individuals in Category 2, eligibility will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the Organizer. Accreditation will only be granted upon a positive evaluation.
During the application process, the organizers may request additional information, such as:
- proof of recent cooperation with a legitimate medium,
- confirmation of an assignment from a legitimate medium,
- evidence of coverage of the organizer’s previous events.
Legitimate media include publications and broadcasters that deliver news and reports to the public through various distribution channels, such as newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and online outlets.
The granting of media accreditation is subject to the evaluation and approval of the organizing team of Balatonfüred Conference Festival. The Organizers reserve the right to approve or reject applications submitted through the online process.
The Organizers further reserve the right to withdraw any media accreditation at their sole discretion and at any time.
This includes the withdrawal of invitations issued by the organizing team of Balatonfüred Conference Festival. Invitations may be withdrawn if the circumstances of the accredited person change and they no longer meet the above criteria or standards.
Purpose of Accreditation
The purpose of media accreditation is to provide members of the press with the opportunity to report on the Event, its content, and its participants.
Accredited media will be granted exclusive access to interview subjects at the conferences (Space&Defense Conference, Infotér Conference, INFOTÉR CONTECH 2025 Conference) and to share high-quality content.
Obligations of Participants
- Holders of media accreditation are expected to cite the Event as their source.
- Accredited persons are required to comply with the provisions of Act CIV of 2010 on the Freedom of the Press, as well as the basic ethical standards generally expected in media communications.
- Accredited persons must acknowledge and adhere to the rules issued by the Organizer, and must follow the instructions of those responsible for the safe completion of the Event.
- Accredited media are required to reference Balatonfüred Conference Festival and its conferences (Space&Defense Conference, Infotér Conference, INFOTÉR CONTECH 2025 Conference) as their source in the content they produce or publish, and must mention or cite the Organizer.
Excluded Applicants
Media accreditation will not be granted to:
- marketing, advertising, or PR agencies,
- consultants,
- market researchers,
- branded content producers,
- employees engaged in corporate content marketing,
- social media teams,
- or non-editorial employees of legitimate media (e.g. client managers, marketing or business development executives).
Restrictions on Media Content
It is strictly prohibited to create, publish, or otherwise disseminate any media content related to the Event that contradicts, undermines, infringes upon, or disparages:
- equality, diversity, and inclusion (e.g. gender rights, LGBTQ+),
- any particular religion, faith, or ideology,
- any factual, verified truth (i.e., no place for fake news or conspiracy theories),
- any individual’s private life or dignity.
Miscellaneous Provisions
- The Organizers affirm that freedom of expression within the European Union is a fundamental right and a cornerstone of any democratic society. Media outlets that comply with EU laws and our internal guidelines are those considered acceptable.
- Reference to such legislation implies support for human rights, civil rights, animal rights, environmental rights, social rights, consumer rights, etc.
- By accepting accreditation, the participant acknowledges and accepts the Organizer’s anti-harassment and accessibility policies, as well as the general terms and conditions of participation.
